Above them a diver in a helmet and a second swimmer with a spear drift near the surface, trailing bubbles. The title sits across the top in chunky white letters with black shadows: "CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON".

Across the lower band, yellow capitals read "Starring RICHARD CARLSON · JULIA ADAMS", with smaller supporting names beneath on a dark ground. Three small scenes run along the bottom: a moored boat, a diver wrestling the creature, and a man in a pith helmet beside a dark-haired woman. Fine credit lines and a studio logo finish the 1950s film-poster layout.

Where it hangs

Suits a home theatre, games room, gentleman's room or home office, and sits well beside black-and-white film stills or other retro movie art.
