In her other hand she holds a bottle of Bellardi vermouth, its label and amber glass clearly drawn. Her flowing drapery is bold and simplified, with a large fan of red sweeping out behind her shoulders.

Below her, big mustard-yellow capitals spell "BELLARDI", with "VERMOUTH" set smaller above and "TORINO" at bottom right. The red, white and green of the drapery sit sharply against the black, giving a flat, graphic poster look typical of early twentieth-century Italian advertising. A signature sits in the top left corner.

Where it hangs

Suits a dining room, a home bar corner or a gentleman's room, where the black ground and red accents sit well beside dark timber or leather.
