He wears a broad white hat with a large pink plume, an orange doublet wrapped in green threads, and puffed red breeches with blue slashes. His expression is fierce, with a furrowed brow and open mouth. Green thread-like lines stream from his back like a net or wings.

The background is solid black, so the figures stand out sharply. The dragon has a red forked tongue, raised clawed foot and a coiled tail that curls down towards the lettering. At the top, pale green capitals read "LA GRANDE MARQUE FRANÇAISE". At the bottom are "CHAUSSURES", then "PERROUIN FRÈRES" and "NANTES" in large lettering. A small round mark sits at lower left.

Where it hangs

Suits a living room, home office or dining room where a black ground and bold yellow and orange can anchor the wall.
