Red streaks mark the feathers at the back of its neck. Its tail feathers fan downward and its talons curl at the bottom, giving the bird a heavy, solid silhouette.

The background is a bright orange with lighter diagonal brush-like strokes. Across the top, dark blue capitals read "COGNAC DE L'AIGLE" with "DELAMAIN & Co." beneath. The eagle grips a small bottle in one claw. At right is the text "AGENTS: A. ATTARD & Co., 12 Sisters Street, ALEXANDRIA". Along the bottom runs "ROULLET & DELAMAIN" and "COGNAC (FRANCE)". A small signature sits at lower left, and a printer's line appears in tiny type at the base.

Where it hangs

Suits a dining room, home office or gentleman's room, and it works well over a bar cart or a kitchen wall.
