The leaves are loosely brushed in soft sage and mid greens with darker strokes near the centre, and the trunk is thin, slightly textured and rooted in a few scratchy marks at the base.

Behind the palm, in pale tan tones, sit a stone arch with two columns on the left and a small urn holding greenery on a plinth at right. They are drawn faintly so they recede into the background. The cream and blush ground is worked in visible, layered strokes, giving the whole scene a soft, dry, weathered feel like old plaster.

Where it hangs

Suits a living room, bedroom or dining room with warm neutral walls, linen, rattan or timber furniture.
