The background is a clean off-white, set inside a thin dark green border. Small round bolts sit at each corner, and the edges show the wear of an old enamel sign.

The joke is in the scene: a draught horse with feathered white hooves sits up in a green cart, eyes closed, while a smiling carter in a brown hat, black waistcoat and blue neckerchief walks ahead pulling the shafts. A small blue bird flies at right. Flat shapes in tan, brown and green sit on a pale sand ground, and a small credit line runs at the bottom left.

Where it hangs

Suits a home bar, kitchen, dining room or study, and sits well with timber, leather and dark green walls. Pair it with other pub or brewery signs. A black floating frame suits the green border, while gold warms the browns.

At a glance

Type: vintage art print on heavy-duty canvas, giclee printed in Australia

Sizes: 42 x 60cm, 60 x 85cm, 85 x 120cm

Finish: stretched on a gallery-wrap frame, ready to hang (free), or add a gold, black, silver, natural or white floating frame

Delivery: made to order, 10 to 14 days, free delivery Australia-wide

Guarantee: 30-day money-back guarantee

Is this a poster or a canvas print?

It is a canvas print.
