Small red bells hang from the cap, sleeves and hem. His cheeks are flushed red, and the whole figure leans forward against a solid black background that makes the yellow glow.

The globe shows a red pin and the word "Fribourg" on the land mass at the top. At left, a foaming white mass spills drips down the black, with a spigot-like tap pointing into it. Below, the lettering reads "BIERE DU" over a heavy "CARDINAL" and "FRIBOURG" in ochre capitals. A thin tan border frames the poster, and tiny print sits at the bottom left corner.

Where it hangs

Suits a home bar, kitchen or dining room, where the black ground and ochre lettering stand out on pale walls.
