Her head and shoulders sit within the pale golden wine, where fine bubbles rise around her. Her hair is swept up, she wears drop earrings, and one long black glove rests on her hip.

The gown flares into a wide black skirt that spills past the flute's base and out of the glass. On the left, bold black capitals read "L'INSTANT TAITTINGER" on a warm, mottled background of honey, amber and cream. A line of tiny French text runs along the bottom edge, in the manner of a mid-century drinks advertisement.

Where it hangs

Suits a dining room, a home bar corner or a bedroom, and pairs well with dark timber, brass lamps and cream or charcoal walls.
