April 21, 2021- Revisit Australian Impressionism and learn about the fierce artistic ambitions of the country’s most famous artists through She-Oak and Sunlight: Australian Impressionism at NGV Australia from 2 April to 22 August 2021

This visually stunning, large-scale exhibition of more than 250 masterpieces brings together some of the most-loved paintings from the Australian Impressionist movement. It is guest curated by Dr. Anne Gray AM with the NGV Australian Art Department, and named after the small painting by Tom Roberts that was recently acquired by the NGV.

You’ll find the most celebrated works by  Tom Roberts, Frederick McCubbin, Arthur Streeton, Jane Sutherland, Clara Southern, Charles Conder, E. Phillips Fox, and John Russell on display at the Ground Level of The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia. This art exhibition also puts the lesser-known paintings by Iso Rae, Jane Price, May Vale, and Ina Gregory on the spotlight.
