About Crimson Blossom Cascade
Two clusters of colour hang down the left and right edges of a tall canvas, built from hundreds of small open loops and oval strokes. The clusters read as blossom: crimson and scarlet at their hearts, with magenta, orange, teal and deep navy flicking out at the edges. Between them the canvas opens into a pale blue-grey haze scattered with white and silver loops, some drifting upward like petals caught in air. Thin paint runs trail down from the flowers toward the lower edge, leaving soft vertical drips.
The brushwork is loose and repetitive, each ring drawn quickly so no two match, and the washed background lets the colour sit lightly rather than heavily. It has a soft, weather-like character, closer to blossom seen through mist than to a botanical study.
Suits a bedroom above a bedhead, a hallway end wall or a living room with pale walls and light timber. The blue-grey background sits well with grey linen, white joinery and soft wool rugs, while the crimson gives a quiet lift to neutral furniture. Works as a single tall piece beside a window.
