Size Guide
Most people buy art one size too small. Use this guide to pick a size that fills the wall properly, then check it on your own wall with our See it on Your Wall tool.
Our sizes
Every painting is made to order in seven standard sizes (width x height, canvas only). Custom sizes are available on request.

The two rules that always work
- Two-thirds rule. Above furniture, the painting should be about two-thirds to three-quarters of the furniture's width. A 2 m sofa wants a painting 130 to 150 cm wide.
- Eye level. Hang so the centre of the painting sits about 145 to 150 cm from the floor. Above a sofa or bed, leave 15 to 25 cm between the top of the furniture and the bottom of the frame.
Allow for the frame
Sizes above are the canvas. Stretched, ready to hang (gallery wrap) adds nothing to the width or height. A floating frame adds a few centimetres to each side. An ornate or classic outer frame adds roughly 8 to 12 cm to each side, so a 120 x 90 cm painting in an ornate frame hangs at about 135 x 105 cm. If you are working to a tight space, tell us and we will confirm the finished size before we frame it.
