About Golden Giraffe and Calf
Two giraffes fill a tall white canvas. The adult sits left of centre, head turned slightly forward, ossicones curving up like two soft loops, ears out to either side and one dark eye clearly drawn. Its neck runs down the left edge in blocky patches of gold and warm ochre with frayed, comb-like edges. The calf leans in at lower right, smaller and paler, its head tucked just below the adult's muzzle. Loose paint spatters and fine dots scatter through the surrounding white ground.
The colour is entirely metallic gold and ochre, washed thin in places and pooled darker in others, so the markings read as translucent patches rather than flat shapes. The character is quiet and affectionate: a mother-and-young pairing with plenty of clean white space around it.
Suits a nursery or child's bedroom, a hallway with pale walls, or a neutral living room where gold hardware and brass lamps already appear. Works over a white cot or a light timber chest of drawers.
