About The Sphere
A single circle sits centred on a square canvas, its edge crisp against a bare off-white ground so the disc reads like a porthole. Inside, colour behaves like poured ink: hot magenta blooms push against turquoise, deep navy pools along the upper left and lower right rims, and pale grey-blue washes drift through the middle. Small patches of soft gold-khaki settle near the centre and lower left. Open white gaps break the colour, giving the middle of the circle room to breathe.
The brushwork is smooth and flowing rather than textured, with feathered bleeding edges where wet colour has run into wet. Its character is calm but energetic, a contained burst of colour held inside a quiet white border.
Suits a white or pale grey wall in a living room, bedroom or entry where the square format can sit alone above a low sideboard or bedhead. Pairs with pale timber, brass lamps and linen in soft grey or blush, and gives a plain modern interior one clear point of colour without crowding it.
