About Abstract Spirograph I
Two spirograph forms sit at the centre of a soft sage green wash. The upper shape is drawn in fine charcoal thread, curving like a twisted ribbon or a wave that folds back on itself, its densest lines pooling into near-black where the curves overlap. Below and to the left, a second form in mustard gold fans downward into a broad cone, its lines thinning as they spread toward the lower edge. A thin white triangle outline crosses both, its apex near the top of the image.
The background is a mottled watercolour green, paler at the centre and greyer at the corners, flecked with small dark specks and a few ochre spots. The character is quiet and diagrammatic: precise mathematical curves floating over a loose, weathered wash, with nothing else competing for attention.
Suits a study, home office or bedroom where the sage and mustard can sit against white or pale grey walls. It works above a desk, a timber sideboard or a bedhead, and pairs with brass or black metal lamps, linen in oatmeal tones, and other line-based or geometric prints in simple frames.
