About African Animal Jewel III
A solid black giraffe stands in profile across the centre of this square artwork, its head turned to the left at the top corner and its long neck cutting diagonally through the background. The backdrop is built from vertical bands of pattern: cream stripes with magenta zigzags, lime chevrons on hot pink, orange columns dotted with cream triangles and pink spots, small black squares with pink centres, and narrow teal and purple lines separating each band.
The colour blocks are flat and saturated, with slightly uneven hand-drawn edges that keep the repeating motifs loose rather than mechanical. The mood is bold and playful, graphic enough to read clearly from across a room while the fine pattern detail rewards a closer look.
A strong single square for a living room, hallway or child's bedroom where colour is welcome. It sits well on white or pale grey walls, above a low sideboard or a bench seat, and pairs with rattan, natural timber and woven baskets. Works as one of a pair with other animal silhouette prints from the same series. Browse more multi-coloured art, orange art, purple and pink art, or read Art above the bed: what size and how high.

The quality of the work is ten out of ten. The piece was affordable and the turnaround time was quite quick. What you see is what you get. I’ll definitely be getting my next painting from Direct Art Australia.
My wife already had a couple of pieces of custom ordered paintings she had collected throughout the last few years and with your large selection to choose from she found the perfect complimentary piece to finish off her room.
