About Alone in Paris
The Eiffel Tower fills the right half of the frame in near-black silhouette, cropped at the second platform so only the base, arch and lattice ironwork are visible. To the left, a small figure in a pale pink coat stands alone on a wet, puddled esplanade, facing away toward a bright band of cream light on the horizon. Streaked clouds in burnt orange, dusty rose and grey cross the sky in flat horizontal bands, with low mist drifting across the foreground pavement.
The mood is quiet and cinematic rather than touristic: one person, one landmark, a lot of empty space between them. Warm sunset tones sit against cool grey reflections, giving the scene a soft, slightly melancholy stillness.
Suits a bedroom, hallway or lounge with warm neutral walls, and works well above a bed head or a low sideboard.
