Three large striped beach umbrellas fill the upper and right sides of this portrait poster, seen from above and at a tilt. The biggest is red and white with a scalloped, fringed edge, the second is blue and white with gold stripes, and the lower one is green and ochre with white lines. The shapes crowd the frame and push the eye downward.
Beneath the red umbrella a sunbather in a red swimsuit lies back in a timber deck chair, one foot stretched toward the sand. Two small children in a white sailor hat and red and green swimsuits play with a green bucket and spade beside a toy sailboat. Long purple shadows fall across pale yellow sand. A mustard band along the bottom reads "PLAYAS DE ANDALUCIA" in brown capitals, with the word DE in red.
