About Animal Crossing
A single elephant fills most of this landscape composition, shown in profile walking to the right with its trunk hanging low and its tail flicked up behind. The body is not a solid colour but a window onto a busy abstract field: dragged bands of chocolate and tan brown, blocks of hot pink, flashes of acid yellow and small notes of violet and dull blue. Behind it the background is a flat, even mint green, so the silhouette reads as a sharp cut-out shape against calm colour.
The contrast is what carries the work: a textured, scraped, layered interior held inside a clean and simple animal outline. It feels playful and graphic rather than wildlife realistic.
Works in a child's room or nursery, a family living room, a hallway or a home office where a bright focal point is wanted. The mint green sits well with white or pale grey walls, rattan and light timber furniture, and pink or brass accents. Good above a low sideboard, cot or bed head. The quality of the work is ten out of ten. The piece was affordable and the turnaround time was quite quick. What you see is what you get. I’ll definitely be getting my next painting from Direct Art Australia.
My wife already had a couple of pieces of custom ordered paintings she had collected throughout the last few years and with your large selection to choose from she found the perfect complimentary piece to finish off her room.
