A tall, dark basalt sea stack with a natural arch stands near the middle of the frame, its upper edges catching a warm orange glow. It sits on a wide, flat beach at low tide, with a thin band of still water behind it and low mountains along the horizon.
The foreground is covered in sand ripples, curving in long lines that sweep from the lower corners toward the rock. Wet sand reflects a cool steel blue, and the sky is soft grey with a faint pink at the left edge. It is a photograph with a calm, muted palette.
