A cluster of tall autumn trees fills the upper half of this square image. Their leaves are built from small square and rectangular patches of mustard yellow, burnt orange, olive green and deep red, with pale blue squares showing where sky breaks through. Dark, slim trunks rise from the grass, three of them standing clearly in the centre and right.
Below, a flat green-gold lawn runs out to a horizon, crossed by a tan path that curves around the edge of a pale blue lake in the lower left. Thick, ridged brushwork gives the grass and foreground a raised texture. The sky on the left is soft blue with light streaks. It reads as a textured painting-style landscape, part realistic and part abstract.

The quality of the work is ten out of ten. The piece was affordable and the turnaround time was quite quick. What you see is what you get. I’ll definitely be getting my next painting from Direct Art Australia.
My wife already had a couple of pieces of custom ordered paintings she had collected throughout the last few years and with your large selection to choose from she found the perfect complimentary piece to finish off her room.
