A portrait-format scene of a stream bank in autumn, built from small dabs of colour. On the right, a branch heavy with orange and red leaves arcs down toward the water, mixed with olive green leaves and dark shadow behind. The foliage reads as clusters of round brushstrokes rather than detailed leaves.
On the left, soft yellow and ochre trees and reeds fade into a pale, hazy sky. The lower half is turquoise water, with pale blue patches of sky and short vertical strokes of reflected trees. A few orange flecks float in the reflection below the branch. The look is impressionist, soft-edged and richly textured.

The quality of the work is ten out of ten. The piece was affordable and the turnaround time was quite quick. What you see is what you get. I’ll definitely be getting my next painting from Direct Art Australia.
My wife already had a couple of pieces of custom ordered paintings she had collected throughout the last few years and with your large selection to choose from she found the perfect complimentary piece to finish off her room.
