Two traditional wooden fishing boats sit on flat, glassy water a short way from each other, their long outrigger poles and rigging lines reaching out against the sky. The boats have dark hulls with red and green trim, and a few crew members stand on deck as small silhouettes. Thin ropes trail across the water between them.
The sky takes up most of the frame. Heavy clouds run from deep blue and purple at the top into pink and burnt orange near the horizon, with a pale yellow glow low behind the boats. The sea picks up the same gold and amber, so the whole photograph reads as warm light fading into cooler cloud above.
