About Banana Leaf II
A cluster of broad, pointed leaves rises from the lower edge of a flat lemon-yellow field. The largest leaf, near the centre, is a muted grey-green with a chalky, blotted surface and a torn-looking upper edge. Below and to the right, a deep forest-green leaf is streaked with horizontal drags of paler green and yellow where the colour has skipped across the surface. Slim stems in mid-green cross behind the foliage, with smaller bright green and olive leaves filling the upper left and right corners.
The shapes are simplified and slightly irregular, as though cut and layered rather than drawn, and the yellow background is left completely plain so the leaves read as flat silhouettes. The result is graphic and cheerful, with enough dry, uneven texture in the greens to keep it from looking like a digital pattern.
The high-contrast yellow makes this a good lift for a white kitchen, a laundry or a small bathroom wall. It also suits a kids' room, a beach house hallway or a home office above a desk.
