About Dreamy
A square canvas split between a pale, washed upper half and a saturated lower band. The top two-thirds is milky white and soft grey with a peach cloud floating near the centre and a small black blot at the very top edge, from which thin magenta runs trickle downward. Below, a ridge of deep indigo and navy rises from both sides, broken by hot pink flames, a slice of turquoise, and small flares of orange and yellow near the middle. Colour bleeds vertically in fine drips to the bottom edge.
The paint is thin and fluid rather than thick, with wet edges that blur into one another and no drawn outline anywhere. It reads as light breaking through a dark horizon, calm above and electric below.
Suits a white or pale grey wall in a living room, bedroom or entry where the magenta and indigo can carry the colour on their own. Works above a low sideboard, a pale linen sofa or a bedhead, and sits well with blonde timber, brass lamps and plain cushions in one of the pinks.
