About Starry Night Sea Stack
A large dome-shaped sea stack sits left of centre on a flat beach, with two smaller pointed rocks beside it. Above, the Milky Way rises as a pale band of dust and pinpoint stars through a sky that shifts from near-black at the top to soft mauve and grey near the horizon. Low cloud drifts across the right side, lit from beneath by a narrow band of orange and red where distant light meets the sea. Wet sand in the foreground mirrors the rock, the cloud and the stars almost exactly.
The overall character is quiet and still: a long-exposure night scene where the beach acts as a mirror and the only warmth comes from that thin glowing strip on the horizon.
Suits bedrooms, living rooms and home offices with dark or moody walls, and works well above a bed head or a low sideboard.
