A single bumblebee with veined wings and an orange-tipped body sits in the middle of a small square panel of mustard yellow. The panel is the centre of a log cabin quilt block, with strips of fabric-like paper built outward in rounds. Fine stitched lines run along every seam, so it reads as a digital illustration made to look like patchwork.
Around the bee are strips of green and cream gingham, a faded green lattice, a pale scroll pattern, and cream bands marked with small fleur-de-lis. The outer border mixes yellow panels of lilac sprigs with olive damask and acanthus leaves. Below the bee, thin cursive script reads "bee happy" on a cream strip. The palette is muted gold, sage and parchment with a worn, linen-like texture.
