Five white birch trunks run the full height of this portrait image, their bark marked with dark horizontal flecks and scrapes in black and brown. Thick, knife-like strokes leave ridges and dry-brush streaks, so the trunks look built up in layers. Thin bare branches angle out from the trunks, and the tallest trunk on the right stops just short of the top.
Clusters of leaves in orange, amber and a few flecks of red scatter across the upper half, thickest around the centre-right branches. Behind them the background shifts from pale olive green at the top to powder blue, then to flat horizontal bands of teal and grey-blue that read as distant water or hills. A pale cream foreground and a strip of tan along the base ground the scene.

My wife already had a couple of pieces of custom ordered paintings she had collected throughout the last few years and with your large selection to choose from she found the perfect complimentary piece to finish off her room.
