Three large pale blue flowers fill the upper and middle of this portrait image. Each has long, loose petals in soft blue and white, with a small cluster of olive and khaki at the centre. Two flowers face outward on the left and one sits to the right, so the blooms spread across the frame.
They stand in a rounded vase at the bottom, drawn in thick strokes of cream, tan and brown, with green stems showing through the glass. The background is a flat, dark chocolate brown. The brushwork is visible and the paint looks thick and creamy, so the pale petals stand out sharply against the dark ground.
