Two sailboats sit on perfectly still water, one larger with a tall mast on the right and a smaller, paler one further back near the centre. Each has a clear mirror image directly beneath it, the masts stretching down as thin vertical lines.
The whole frame is washed in soft blue, with sky and water blending so the horizon almost disappears. Low mist fades the distant boat to a ghost, while the nearer hull shows white with a small patch of deeper blue. It reads as a quiet, minimal photograph with plenty of open space around the boats.
