A loose bouquet fills most of this square image, spilling out of a white jar patterned with blue scrollwork at the bottom centre. A large coral poppy with a yellow-green centre sits in the middle, flanked by lilac peonies and a deep purple ranunculus on the left and right.
The background is a pale, streaky wash of white and soft grey-green, with vertical drips and scraped marks that give the surface a layered, watercolour-like texture. Yellow blooms crowd the top left, a red-pink flower sits low on the left edge, and small blue flowers and green leaves trail beside the jar.
