About Botanical Sketches V
A single slender stem rises from the lower edge and curves slightly to the right, carrying eleven pointed leaves arranged in loose opposite pairs. Each leaf is filled with dense black ink, and a pale central line with angled chevron strokes cuts through it to suggest veining, so the leaves read as flat shapes with a woven texture. The background is a warm off-white with a faint paper grain, scattered with small grey specks and light splatter marks around the outer leaves. A small dark signature sits at the lower right.
The character is quiet and graphic: high contrast, no colour, and just enough ragged edge on the ink to keep it looking drawn rather than digital. It sits somewhere between a botanical study and a simple stencil motif.
Works in bathrooms, hallways and home offices where the wall is plain and the palette is neutral. Pairs naturally with its companion botanical prints in a two or three piece set, and sits well above white joinery, timber consoles or a linen bedhead. Suits black tapware, rattan and monochrome interiors. Browse more canvas prints wall art decor pictures, or read Art above the bed: what size and how high.
