A square, crowded bouquet of round, open flowers fills the whole picture, with a tall slate-blue vase marked by white looping scribbles standing in the lower centre. The blooms are magenta, hot pink, coral, deep red, mustard yellow, cream and purple, each with a darker centre and thick, layered petals.
Olive and teal leaves sit between the flowers on thin stems, and a pale grey, lilac and mint background shows through in soft, streaky strokes. The paint looks opaque and textured, with visible brush marks and flat, simplified shapes. A small signature sits in the bottom right corner.
