About Brisbane Cityscape
An elevated view looks west along the Brisbane River with the steel truss of the Story Bridge crossing the frame from left to right. Behind it the CBD skyline rises, led by a tall dark tower on the right and a cluster of glass apartment blocks and office buildings in the centre. The sky carries long streaks of pink and orange cloud over pale blue, and the low sun burns through a gap between the buildings just above the horizon.
Below, the wide river reflects the sky in silver and warm gold, with two small ferries and a motorboat leaving white wake trails that curve across the water. The right foreground holds green riverside trees, a curving road, parked cars and a concrete bridge pier. The image is sharp and detailed, with strong contrast between the dark bridge steel and the bright sky. Its character is calm and documentary: a clear record of the city at the moment the light turns.
Suits a living room, hallway or dining room where a wide horizontal wall needs a focal point, and works well in Brisbane homes or as a keepsake of the city. Pairs with grey or charcoal sofas, timber furniture and black metal fittings, and sits comfortably beside other city or coastal photographs.
