A black and white photograph taken from the Brooklyn Bridge pedestrian walkway, looking towards the stone tower. Fan-shaped steel cables spread out from the tower and run down to the deck, while the vertical suspender wires on both sides lead the eye to the pointed Gothic arches at the centre.
A few walkers move away from the camera near the tower, small against the structure. Strong sunlight throws diagonal cable shadows across the timber planks, and a bright white stripe runs down the middle of the deck. Heavy clouds break up the sky, and the high-contrast HDR processing makes the grain and metal very sharp.
