About Calm Splashes
Loose pools of thinned colour sit in the middle of a wide white canvas, leaving broad empty margins on all four sides. A soft grey mass on the left runs into salmon peach through the centre, while a strong jade green shape takes the right third and fades into pale yellow below it. Charcoal blacks gather near the base, where scratched, dragged marks break the wash into speckles. Thin runs of paint trail down from the lower edge of each colour field like rain on glass.
Suits bedrooms, a quiet lounge room or a consulting room where a strong picture would be too much. The white ground matches off-white and pale grey walls, and the peach and jade pick up cushions, throws or a pale rug. Works above a low sideboard or a bedhead in a light, uncluttered room.
