About Celebration
A tall amber bottle with a gold neck stands front and centre, its pale label marked with loose red and dark scribbles rather than readable text. Behind it sit two slimmer bottles in deep navy and aubergine with beaded gold collars, and a frosted pale vessel to the right. A copper-orange goblet with a wide angular bowl sits at the base, with a small yellow fruit tucked beside it. The background splits into a chalky white panel, a black-bordered red square and a mottled teal wall.
The tabletop reads as a flat navy plane, and the paint is worked with a dry, gritty texture that lets the canvas weave show through. It is a quiet, graphic still life: warm bottle glass set against cool blue, with shapes simplified almost to flat silhouettes.
Suits a dining room wall, a bar nook or a kitchen alcove, and works above a sideboard holding glassware. The navy and teal sit well with dark timber, brass fittings and cream walls, while the red square picks up rust or terracotta cushions and rugs in an adjoining living space.
