About Rustic Ember Arc
A dense knot of rust, copper and burnt orange paint sits in the middle of a bare white square, with two broad curved sweeps of thinned copper arcing out to the left and right edges like the rim of a bowl. From the upper centre, fine flecks and splatters fly outward in a fan, thinning as they reach the top corners. Inside the core are patches of ochre, olive, deep red and near-black, crossed by looping white and silver drizzled lines that trail down into pale dots.
The character is controlled chaos: an energetic burst of earthy colour held together by the calm of the surrounding white canvas.
Suits a lounge room, entry wall or study with white or pale grey walls, where the open white ground keeps the piece from crowding the space. Works with timber floors, leather or tan furniture, brass or copper lamps and black metal frames. Good above a low sideboard or a square section of wall between windows.
