Framing options
Choose your finish from the options above. Every print is produced on archival canvas and comes ready to go up.
Stretched, ready to hang
Your canvas is stretched on a timber frame with the hanging wire already attached. Clean, frameless gallery look.
Floating frame
The stretched canvas sits inside a slim timber frame in white, black, natural or silver, with a small shadow gap around the edge. Delivered framed and ready to hang.
Rolled canvas
Just the printed canvas, rolled in a tube, if you would rather have it framed locally.
How our prints are made
- Museum-quality giclée print on heavy-duty archival canvas, using pigment inks that will not fade.
- Stretched on a thick timber frame with the hanging wire attached, so it goes straight onto the wall.

A grey-green elevated train runs along red-orange steel girders, its windows lit amber. The tracks cut diagonally across the frame, and the riveted supports in the foreground are drawn in flat, bold shapes. Behind the train, tall pale green buildings rise in rows of small windows, and a yellow-orange skyline with twin-spired towers sits against a cream sky.
At the top left, "Chicago" is written in a looping red script with a long underline sweeping beneath it. In the lower right, a woman with blonde hair and a green coat stands beside a man in a grey hat and coat, pointing up at the train, while grey silhouettes wait further back. A black band along the bottom reads "THE 'L' TRAIN" in mustard capitals, with "A MARVEL OF ENGINEERING" in small spaced letters beneath. The flat colour and soft cream border give it a mid-century travel poster feel.

The quality of the work is ten out of ten. The piece was affordable and the turnaround time was quite quick. What you see is what you get. I’ll definitely be getting my next painting from Direct Art Australia.
My wife already had a couple of pieces of custom ordered paintings she had collected throughout the last few years and with your large selection to choose from she found the perfect complimentary piece to finish off her room.
