About Harbour Skyline
A row of blocky towers runs across the upper half of the canvas, built from straight vertical strokes of green, brick red, ochre, teal and cobalt blue. Heights vary so the skyline steps up and down, with one tall green and yellow tower rising near the centre and a blue slab beside it. Behind them the sky is a scraped grey-white field with faint blue-green patches, laid on thickly with a knife so the texture catches light. Paint drips run down from the base of several buildings.
The lower half is water: soft vertical smears of the same colours, broken by short horizontal flicks of white that read as ripples. The mood is bright and busy up top, quiet and washed out below, the whole thing loose rather than architectural.
Built for a long wall above a sofa, sideboard or bed head, and suited to a hallway or open-plan living area. The grey-white ground sits easily with pale walls, timber floors and black steel furniture, while the red, green and blue blocks pick up cushions, rugs or books in strong colour.
