About London Eye at Night
The London Eye fills the upper half of the frame, its rim traced in warm amber light so the wheel reads as a glowing arc against a deep blue twilight sky. The central white spindle and its fan of support cables rise from the middle of the picture. Along both sides, an avenue of leafless trees is wrapped in tiny blue fairy lights, the bare branches reaching up to meet the curve of the wheel. A paved walkway runs straight down the centre toward the base of the structure.
Low-lit buildings, street lamps and a hint of river railing sit at the edges, small and warm against the cold blue. The long exposure gives the lights soft haloes and the sky a smooth, even gradient. The character here is symmetry and cold-warm contrast: blue on blue, cut by a single band of gold.
Works in a living room, hallway or dining room where the walls are white, grey or charcoal, and in bedrooms that lean moody. It suits navy sofas, timber floors, black metal lamps and brass details, and hangs well beside other travel or night-city photographs in matching black frames.
