A tall, loose landscape in thick, visible brushstrokes. The upper two thirds is sky, worked in sweeping diagonal strokes of sage grey, cream and soft white, with a few brighter patches where cloud breaks open. Pale blue shows low near the horizon, giving the grey a cooler, clearing feel.
Along the bottom third, a low meadow stretches back to a distant flat horizon. Rounded, olive and ochre trees sit in clusters on the left and right, with a small dark pool of water between them. Streaks of rust red and orange run through the olive-brown grass, and a pale yellow patch and a small blue puddle sit in the foreground.
