About Cloudy Sky Water Reflection
A wide lake sits perfectly still across the centre of the frame, splitting the image into sky above and its mirrored copy below. Scattered cumulus clouds fill the upper half, their undersides lit pink and apricot by a low sun that sits just above a distant treeline on the right. The sky deepens to a strong cobalt at the top corners. Clay-coloured rock ledges step down on the left, and a scrubby bank with low green weeds and grasses runs across the bottom edge.
The photograph's character comes from symmetry: the water holds the cloud pattern almost exactly, so the horizon reads as a thin green seam rather than a hard line. Fine detail in the rocks and grass keeps the foreground grounded against the soft, glowing sky.
