A band of copper and burnt orange leaf shapes runs across the upper third of this portrait abstract, mixed with patches of slate grey. Above it the background is a dark, mottled charcoal with a scratchy, brushed texture, like a night sky pressed down onto the foliage.
Below the canopy, thin grey trunks drip downward through a pale, foggy white ground. Some lines are broken and uneven, others run nearly the full height. The paper-white middle fades into dark grey at the base, so the picture moves from black to light to dark. It reads as a layered, textured abstract with a worn finish.

My wife already had a couple of pieces of custom ordered paintings she had collected throughout the last few years and with your large selection to choose from she found the perfect complimentary piece to finish off her room.
