About Paris Arc De Triomphe

The Arc de Triomphe stands at the centre of the composition, built up in warm gold and ochre with a deep blue-violet shadow filling its archway. Behind and above it the sky is a dense mass of cobalt, purple and white, broken by small orange lights that read as streetlamps glowing through the canopy. Flowering trees crowd both sides of the boulevard in thick white, pale blue and mauve dabs, their trunks marked in dark violet and green strokes that lead the eye back towards the monument.
