A large chrysanthemum-style bloom fills the top of the square, its petals fanning out in rows of rounded scallops. Each petal is a cream shape with a dark centre, and the rows get smaller and tighter toward the edge of the flower. The outline is thick and even, like a cut-out or a stencil.
Below the bloom, broad cream leaves and curling tendrils spread across a near-black ground. Fine veins are pressed into the leaves, and the surface looks softly worn with faint vertical grain, like textile or embossed paper. A faint damask pattern shows in the black. The palette is only cream and charcoal, and it reads as a flat decorative pattern, not a realistic botanical study.
