A thin crescent moon sits high in the upper left of a deep blue and violet sky. The colour moves down through lilac and peach into a band of bright orange along the horizon, with a few streaks of red cloud at the left edge.
Below the sky, a dark line of distant hills sits on the horizon. Low waves roll in across the dark water and break in thin lines of foam. In the foreground, wet sand holds a golden reflection of the sky, with a darker strip of beach along the bottom edge. It is a calm photograph with a wide, horizontal composition.
