About Cubic in Grey I
A square composition filled with isometric cubes drawn in flat grey tones. Several small blocks sit forward against the surface, each one built from three faces: a black or white top, a pale side and a darker shadow face. Behind them, larger cube forms interlock so that edges continue from one shape into the next, and the background itself reads as a field of tilted planes. Tones run from near black through three or four mid greys to clean white, with soft mottled texture across the flat areas.
The effect is an optical puzzle, where the eye keeps switching between solid blocks and flat pattern. It is quiet in colour but restless in structure.
Works in a home office above a desk, a living room with grey or tan upholstery, or a bedroom with charcoal linen. It suits concrete, black steel and pale timber, and pairs neatly with its companion piece or with other black and white geometric prints hung as a square grid.
