A field of white daisies fills the landscape frame, each bloom facing the viewer with a golden yellow centre. The petals are loose and brushy, tipped with soft pink, lilac and pale blue, so the white never looks flat. Flower heads sit at different heights and sizes, from large blooms at the right and top to smaller ones at the left.
Behind them, tall thin blades of grass and a few closed pink-tinged buds rise through a near-black green background. The dark ground makes the petals glow, and the thick, visible brushstrokes give the surface a textured, painterly look. A small signature sits at the lower left corner. The mood is fresh and bold, with strong contrast.
