A weathered timber Adirondack chair sits in the foreground, angled towards the water and rendered in soft creams, pale greys and warm browns. Dune grass in rust, ochre and gold sweeps across both sides of the frame, and a line of old fence posts leans in at the upper left.
Beyond the chair, a calm blue bay stretches to a low sandy headland with green scrub. Three white sailboats with bare masts rest on the water near the far shore. The sky is a hazy pale aqua with soft brushy cloud, and the loose, textured strokes give the scene a gentle, breezy feel.
