A thatched-roof bungalow stands on timber stilts at the left of the frame, with a small deck, railing and a staircase running down toward the water. One window glows warm orange, and its reflection stretches down the surface as a soft vertical streak. More roofs trail off behind it.
The sea is smooth and silky, as if shot with a long exposure, and fades from deep teal to blue across the foreground. The sky moves from blue at the top to a thin band of pink and apricot at the horizon, with a few low clouds. The photograph is quiet and evenly balanced, with plenty of open water.
